PAT DECLINE SOLO ALBUM PRE-ORDER!

Pre-Orders for The Decline front man Pat Decline’s solo album are available on our Pee Records webstore here today!

Pat gave fans a first taste of the album with the release of his first single “Full Of Hate” back in July, and today we bring you the album’s second single “Mining Skyline”, with download codes for both songs coming with all pre-orders.

Nine Lives contains nine stripped back, acoustic folk punk songs reminiscent of artists such has Jeff Rosenstock, Frank Turner, Dan P, Joe McMahon and Brendan Kelly, whilst not deviating too far from the songwriting style which The Decline have become known for. The album features additional musicianship from members of Nerdlinger, Vetty Vials, Ess-Em & even Dave Berry or as they are all jokingly being referred to for this album “Pat Decline & The Cat Haven Volunteers”
With “Nine Lives” in stores nationally on Friday 06 November on Digisleeve CD and all Digital platforms, be the first to place your place your pre-order here today!

Guitarist Dan O’Gorman has given us an insight to the single ‘Snake in the Grass’…
Dan: “This song was an eye opener for myself. The original idea was to write about a shitty person I was living with and how they made my life miserable, then after looking at he situation retrospectively, I realized I was the bad guy; I was the villain living among them, the snake in the grass. Also, I’m a history teacher and I really loved the story behind the Culper spy ring during the revolutionary war, where a spy loyal to the patriots is still living with his Tory wife and pledging his loyalty to the British. I found our two stories aligned quite well so I tried to use older English terms and vocabulary to cross both ideas together. Also, you could tell by this song that I wish I was in Lagwagon. The bridge/conclusion is my favorite part. It just kind of states, I’m no longer beholden to your world so I’m going to build my own out of what’s left, much like after the revolutionary war.”
