Since releasing their debut EP “Oh The Humanity” in February 2011, Safe Hands have been making it their business to take to and ravage as many venues/stages/warehouses/floors/lounge rooms across Australia as is humanly possible. In doing so, they have built a loyal mic-grabbing and dog-piling following of believers to their cause of high impact and high energy live shows. Safe Hands make it not only a priority but a rule to ensure that the music they are writing is honest and organic, feeling that too many bands are stifling their creativity by attempting to write to the rules of a genre or a scene rather than from the heart. The result is an eclectic mix of styles that culminates in an eruption of noisy guitars and heavy and often off kilter rhythms. In October 2012 Safe Hands released a split 7” with WA hotshots and fellow noise makers Vanity through both Pee Records and Arrest Records. The 7” would serve as a teaser to their debut full length album “Montenegro” which delivers everything their split tracks hinted was coming with 12 tracks of their own brand of energetic, heavy and most importantly honest music.
