Big news this week for our Melbourne melodic rock gods THE SCISSOR FILE as they sign to Faultline Records for the release of their album. We couldn't be prouder than we are to have worked with the guys in the infancy of the bands career and releasing their debut EP, and hope them moving to a larger label means even more Aussies will be exposed to their killer tunes and live show. We wish the guys all the best for the future and can't wait to hear their album.

Time to announce yet another band joining the PEE REC roster - introducing Geelong punk-rock quartet LOSTBOYFOUND. The guys have pumped out a killer EP full of chantable punk energy that fits right at home here at PEE with labelmates THE RESTLESS WORDS and LOST IN LINE. Their new record "One Voice Over The Airwaves" will be instores nationally next month just in time for their support shows with LAGWAGON. With the WATCH YOUR STEP lads about to jump on a plane for the long haul back to Italy after their successful Aussie tour we just wanted to say a big thanx to everyone who came out to a show and supported the guys whilst witnessing their blistering live set. Massive thanx also to PROVOKE, STOLEN YOUTH and RELENTLESS who toured with the guys throughout QLD, NSW, SA and VIC along with every band who loaned them gear. Best dudes. We've sent WATCH YOUR STEP home with the task of writing their new album for a follow up release and tour back here next year!

After nearly three days in transit from Italy, WATCH YOUR STEP have touched down in Brisbane and are gearing up to tear the eastern mainland a new one. They kick things off in the Gold Coast tonight with PROVOKE and will be making their way through NSW, SA and VIC over the next few weeks. Full tour dates posted HERE. Get down to one of their shows to see some of the best old school sounding hardcore that Europe has to offer - if you think you can dance fast enough!

Record submission for reviews to appear in PEE #42 have well and truely closed. Reviews of all records received from May 1st will appear in a following issue. This might also be a good time to remind labels that CDRs / PROMOs / BURNS / MP3s etc from record labels will NOT be reviewed. Demo's from independent bands are accepted, but promos from labels won't get a look in. So send the real deal complete with it's artwork or we bin it.

A new month and yet another two new PEE REC bands and releases to announce! Joining the PEE REC family are Adelaide rock quartet THE STATE VERSUS who've recorded one hellova impressive debut EP that we'll be setting loose this time next month. The guys opened our PEE SHOWCASE here in Adelaide as special guests back in 2006 and have been increasingly impressing me with every live performance, most recently winning the S.A final of the FATE Battle of the Bands comp. Our second new signing was also a special guest at our PEE SHOWCASE just last year and blew us all away with their tight melodic punk, they are of course LOST IN LINE from Wollongong. The guys have pumped out a killer debut album full of 90's skate punk energy that'll have you running up the walls. Some sad news this week with our Adelaide lads THE OPEN SEASON calling it a day after almost 4 years and 2 incredible EPs. PEE RECORDS has been proud to watch the guys live performance and way they conduct themselves steadily grow to the professional outfit that they are today, from the first time I saw them play live with no set list or bass guitar strap! We're proud of the guys and wish all four nothing but the best for their future. They're playing a final huge show at Fowlers at the end of February so keep an eye on our mehspace page for details.

Huge thanx to everyone who came along to last weeks SHOWCASE and witnessed an awesome night of punk rock from PEE bands BAD DAY DOWN, THE OPEN SEASON, THE RESTLESS WORDS and REMAIN OPPOSED. Big props to our guests LOST IN LINE for making the trip from Wollongong to tear open the show too! Only downer of the night was to have some complete arsehole steal the bands display t-shirts from behind the merch desk whilst we watched the guys play and our backs were turned. I hope you feel good about yourself when you're wearing the shirts you stole from small independent bands, who travelled so far and will probably have to sell at least 4 more shirts just to recoup the $$ you stole from them. There's a cunt in every crowd huh. Shame on you.

'Twas the night before our SHOWCASE... Our 2007 PEE SHOWCASE is on tomorrow night Friday December 7 at Enigma Bar on Hindley Street, Adelaide! We're all pumped to be featuring five awesome bands from five states of our great country. Headlining the showcase will be Brisbane punk rockers BAD DAY DOWN who are returning to Adelaide for the second time after a solid year show shows. Joining them will be hometown rock kings THE OPEN SEASON, Perth melodic punk outfit THE RESTLESS WORDS and Melbourne punkers REMAIN OPPOSED and special guests LOST IN LINE coming direct from Wollongong. Things kick off at 8.30pm with the first 50 people through the doors getting a free CD for getting in early. Entry is just a measly $10 (or only $2 per band!), so get down to Enigma Bar to support some first rate Aussie talent!
